Each standard size North Hills Totes box is equivalent to a large cardboard box and measures 27” by 17” at the top, 24.5” by 14.5” at the bottom, and 13” tall. In our experience, this is the perfect size box for any move in the Pittsburgh area!
Yes, in most cases someone over the age of 18 needs to be present to sign for and accept the delivery of your moving tote rentals. If for some reason you will not be present, let us know in advance and we may be able to work out a special delivery if there is a safe space to leave the boxes and dollies.

Yes! Simply let our North Hills team know before your scheduled pick-up date that you need to extend the rental window, and we'll make it happen. You will be charged an additional fee for every week you keep the boxes beyond your initial rental period.
You can cancel your order anytime up to 48 hours before the pre-scheduled delivery date for free. Cancellations within 48 hours are subject to a $50 convenience fee. If you have already received the boxes, a $99 re-stocking fee applies.
North Hills Totes charges a delivery and pickup fee based on your distance if you're within our primary service radius. If you are outside our standard zone, contact us for a quote based on distance and travel time.
North Hills Totes is a door-to-door delivery service. We drop off your totes at the nearest accessible point—typically your driveway, garage, or the door to your unit. We do not carry items inside the residence.
For any delivery involving stairs, we reserve the right to charge a $10 fee per flight if our team provides assistance. If you choose to move the boxes up or down stairs yourself, there is no extra charge.
